Just a quick update...I'm trying to get back into jogging. I try walking fast, but I must be part horse. I keep bursting into a trot! I don't know if jogging is a very healthy endeavor. My body keeps protesting.
I'm trying to return to running as well. I was told by an Alexander teacher/Runner that walking fast isn't "natural", whilst running is. If you watch the running gait of a Olympic runner - then compare with an Olympic walker!! David
I taught in the public school system for 30 years. I loved the students, but hated the politics, meetings, documentation, report writing, evenings and weekends spent working. Teaching is undervalued, underpaid and completely misunderstood by the general public.
It is extremely stressful, time consuming and life consuming.
If you are considering a career as an educator, DON"T.
