
I hate all those diet, health, fitness experts out there who tell you that you have to eat breakfast. I'm not a morning person and I don't eat breakfast! DON'T EVEN TRY TO MAKE ME EAT BREAKFAST! My system isn't ready for breakfast until I've been awake for 2-3 hours.
I tried forcing myself to eat breakfast when I was pregnant. I mean, I REALLY tried. Then I quit. I felt too ill every time I forced myself to ingest food. Doesn't that tell you something!
My body tells me when its ready to eat and I listen to it then. Not everybody's body is the same. My body wants to stay up late, it eats late and even if it gets up early, it does not want breakfast.
Even as a child I wasn't ready to eat until recess. Same thing when I became a teacher. I had something to eat at recess.
So, to those of you who cannot tolerate breakfast until your system is ready for it, I say stand up to the so-called experts. I bet not-a-one of them is a late-night person. I bet they all get up early and eat right away.
I say, "DOWN WITH BREAKFAST and GET OFF MY CASE ABOUT IT!"
